More Fall projects

Hi,

Here are some more unbeLEAFably (ha ha) cute projects to inspire your Fall crafting.  They all use the Autumn Accents BIGZ die.  Many use the "Wonderfall" stamp set and some also use the Woodgrain Embossing Folder.

I hope you're inspired to create some lovely Fall projects!

Sweet little project!

Hi stamping friends,

I have been having so much fun planning and having stamp camps that I have been neglecting my blog!  Sorry about that!

I plan to have the most recent stamp camp projects photographed and posted on my A+ Projects site by the end of next week.

I am already working on the next few classes' projects so I'll post here and email you soon with dates!

For now, check out this awesome idea from Heather Summers.  I LOVE that she posted dimensions on her blog (click here) so you can turn any card idea into a sweet little box!  Perfect for a little gift for someone!  :)

Well, I've got to go heat up the cheese dip for tonight's class!

Have a delightful weekend,
Andra

Another lovely project

Hi,

I don't make "shabby chic" style things very often, but when I do, I'm often inspired by the work of Kimberly Van Diepen.

Here is a lovely piece of work she made last week that I just can't wait to try!

Have a perfect day,
Andra

Baby Wipes

It's good to have Baby Wipes on hand when you're a stamper.  Do you know why?

This is why:

The leaf on this card is perfect for fall because it looks so soft and pretty in the various colours!  It's called the "baby wipe technique"

Here's how you get this look.  What you do it take a few baby wipes and fold them a few times to make a "palate".  Then you take your re-inker bottles and put drops of ink on to the Baby Wipes.  On this card they may have used Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive or a lighter green.

Then you take your solid image (the image above is a 2-step stamp, which means that you stamp the inside and then you stamp the outline on top) and ink it up on your new multi-coloured baby wipe ink pad.  Then stamp on your cardstock and I know you will be thrilled with the results!

I love this technique because it's a beautiful way to ink leaves and also, no leaf will be exactly the same!

It looks like Chocolate Chip ink was used on the outline stamp on top of the full image to make the veins of the leaf.

Very pretty!

I'd love to teach you this technique...maybe in October?

Have a lovely day,
Andra

ps - I'm placing an order this weekend.  Contact me by 6:00 on Saturday night if you want to order anything!  Remember, you get a FREE spool of ribbon for every $50 you order (1 of the 5 new Stitched Satin In Colour ribbons!)

Creating with Friends

Whoops!  It's been a few days since I posted!  So sorry about that!

My good friend came over last night and we worked on the cards we're making at next week's "Pop On By" class.  It was so fun to experiment and share ideas with someone else.  We made a terrific mess in my Craft Room and had a lot of fun.

Many of us craft alone, including me, but I also really love to craft with others, which is why I hold classes.  It's fun and social for me.

I KNOW you're going to love the cards we are making next week!

If you haven't signed up, I can fit about 3 more people on the Thursday night session (Thurs, Sept 13).  Let me know if you're interested!  I am already planning classes for October and November, so if you can't make this one, there will be more coming up!

Here's a card to inspire you today.  No, it's not one of the class cards (I like to surprise you!) and I did not make it, but I put it in my "favourites" to make sometime soon!

Have a lovely weekend!

Upcoming stamp camps

Wow!  I am thrilled with the response to my upcoming stamp camps!

If you haven't signed up yet and are thinking about it, please let me know because I believe I will need to split the "Pop On By" class into 2 evenings to avoid overcrowding.  (I'm so glad so many people can attend!)

Here are the details of my next two classes:

1)  “Pop On By” Card Class
“Pop on By” and make some cards with me!  I have SO MANY project ideas that I am going to have a number of these “pop on by” card class evenings this fall so you can just make some great cards for your stash!

Cost: 6 cards for $20 (**Free with an order of at least $40)
Date: Friday, September 14 (I may open a 2nd date if this date fills up)
Time: 6:30
Place: my house (2901 Robinson Street)

Contact me by Monday, September 10 to sign up for the class.  Payment is not necessary until the night of the class.

If you find a new-to-me friend to attend the class with you, you will receive a free gift from me!

We will use many different stamp sets, new Designer Papers, embossing folders, dies and accessories at this class.  I hope you can attend!

We will make 6 different cards at this class that were chosen mainly because they can be done without too much difficulty (not that they are SIMPLE – just that they are straight forward!).  My goals for these evenings are FUN and FRIENDSHIP.  I want new people to feel at ease while creating, and I know that even the more experienced stampers will enjoy a night out making these lovely cards to add to their stash.

I'm looking forward to you "popping" over to stamp with me!

2)  Pleasant Poppies Card Class

Join me for the Pleasant Poppies Card Class and for only $35, you’ll make 4 beautiful cards, receive an email with card ideas and tutorials using this set PLUS you get to go home with the lovely and versatile “Pleasant Poppies” stamp!

Oh, and of course, it’s a perfect night out with friends!  Snacks and drinks will be provided, as usual!

Cost: $35 (see alternative payment options below)
Date: Friday, September 21
Time: 6:30
Place: my house (2901 Robinson Street)

** RSVP by Wednesday, September 5 so I can order the stamp sets.  Pre-payment is appreciated but not necessary until the class date.

Payment options:
A)  $35 includes Wood mount stamp set.
B)  $55 includes Clear mount stamp set and Block “F”.
        C)  $25 for the 4 cards and the email with ideas but NO SET included.
D) This class is available as a kit, as long as you either purchase the stamp set with the class (A or B) or already own it.  No  images will be stamped for you in the kit.

Cancellation Policy: Since I have to purchase the stamp sets in advance, if you sign up but end up unable to attend, you can choose to either pay me for the entire class and receive it as a KIT OR find someone to take your place OR you can just pay me for the stamp set portion of the class.

If you find a new-to-me friend to attend the class with you, you will receive a free gift from me!  :)

Looking forward to seeing you soon!
