It's good to have Baby Wipes on hand when you're a stamper. Do you know why?
This is why:
The leaf on this card is perfect for fall because it looks so soft and pretty in the various colours! It's called the "baby wipe technique"
Here's how you get this look. What you do it take a few baby wipes and fold them a few times to make a "palate". Then you take your re-inker bottles and put drops of ink on to the Baby Wipes. On this card they may have used Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive or a lighter green.
Then you take your solid image (the image above is a 2-step stamp, which means that you stamp the inside and then you stamp the outline on top) and ink it up on your new multi-coloured baby wipe ink pad. Then stamp on your cardstock and I know you will be thrilled with the results!
I love this technique because it's a beautiful way to ink leaves and also, no leaf will be exactly the same!
It looks like Chocolate Chip ink was used on the outline stamp on top of the full image to make the veins of the leaf.
Very pretty!
I'd love to teach you this technique...maybe in October?
Have a lovely day,
Andra
