Affection Collection

Good morning!

Since tomorrow is August 1, two great things will happen!

1) The brand new Holiday Mini Catalogue is in effect!!!  If you don't have a copy, let me know - I have piles of them here just for you!

I will place my FIRST ORDER in August on Monday, August 6.  Please contact me by noon to have your order included.  This order can include any items in the regular catalogue, the mini catalogue and the clearance rack.

Email me with your shopping list and I'll do the rest!

2) The wonderful, exclusive Starter Kit deal begins!  Anyone who purchases the Starter Kit in August gets a fabulous free kit!  See this blog post for more pictures of the free kit and contact me with any questions you have!

Now, to the blog entry for today...

As part of our Convention package, we also received a stamp set called "Affection Collection" that is in the new Mini (starts tomorrow!).

There are several different styles of stamps in the set, but I think it's safe to say that many of the images are a Vintage style or even kind of a "Grunge" style.

Here are some card ideas using the stamp set that they had on display at Convention.

Let me know what you think!

Have a lovely day,
Andra

You're Amazing!

We received the stamp set "You're Amazing" for free as part of our Convention package.  It's a very different set - I suppose you would call it Retro Circus style.

Here are some card and project ideas that were on display at Convention that use the "You're Amazing" set.  (Sometimes other sets are used on the cards as well.)

I have a few projects NOT shown here that I really liked and will re-work and show you at a Stamp Class.

Leave a comment and let me know what you think!

Enjoy your day!

Convention Display Boards

You never can collect enough ideas and inspiration...at least that's what I think!

Here are some pictures of the beautiful product display boards Stampin' Up! had for us to see at Convention.  Must have been the TEACHER in me, but I loved that they used Chalkboards for the displays!

If you double click on each picture, you should be able to see the projects bigger and better.

Here's a close up of the apples - they used a real twig on them!

Hope you are able to view the pictures in a larger size and that you find some projects you'd like to make!

Have a perfect day!

Convention Inspiration

Hi everyone,

I saw so many fabulous card/project ideas at Convention.  I thought I'd share some with you.

Some I'm keeping to MYSELF because I'll be re-working them into future Stamp Class projects!  Stay tuned!!!

Here are a few pictures for today.  These were taken during my tour of the Riverton Home Office.  Some were on display in the Legacy Room and some were actually in the Demonstrator Support area.

I like the way they made Minnie Mouse on this card!  What a fun, vibrant card!

I actually snapped a picture of this card THROUGH another Demonstrator's "swap" bag!  hee hee!  It's a great card!  It's clean, simple and very attractive.

The black bars on the next few cards are there because these cards were on display in a spinning rack.  I liked the sweet simplicity of this card.  Easy to make and nice to look at!

I know this card is small but I hope you can see what I liked about it!  It's a completely white card except for the cute little moustache and tie.  There is a mini silver brad in the tie.  A very unique Father's Day card!

I just really liked the way the hearts were "double" punched and then layered together.  :)

This was part of the Display in the Legacy Room.  The card is great - it uses the Betsy's Blossoms large flower and then they put a REAL twig on the card and a paper leaf.  So cute!!!

Ok, really.  How awesome is this?  Why not take some old stamp sets you're not using anymore and put them in a vase?  What a fun piece of art for your crafting space!!!

Shabby Chic is a very popular technique right now.  (Sometimes called "Nouveau Vintage" also.)  It's a fairly forgiving technique.  As you can see, the script background is not stamped hard or even solidly on the card base -just bits of it here and there.  There is some colouring, but very casually done.  Pearls, Spritzing and a bit of ribbon and it's done.  Pretty!  I might have to try it in real life to see what it's like to make.  It's not a style I go to often, but maybe I need to branch out!

Just a fun colourful card!  I can see doing a style like this for many occasions.  You could spell "happy" with the letters and then stamp "birthday" underneath or even spell "thank" and then write "you".  It's clean and simple and fun!
Hope you enjoyed the ideas I shared with you today.  I'll have more tomorrow!

Little Miss Chatterbox

Does it surprise you that I would "chat" with lots of people at Convention?  If you know me at all, I'm guessing you are not surprised!!!  :)

As I mentioned in my first post about Convention, I chatted with a number of fabulous Demonstrators who constantly inspire me to create new and different things.  ("Oh, hello Patty Bennett" I said.  I laughed as soon as I realized how casually I said it to her.  I then explained to her that of course, I see HER face on her blog every day, but she doesn't see mine!  Anyway, she laughed too and was very gracious!  It was funny.)

My dear friend Lesley took most of these pictures for me and she just sent them to me.  Thanks Lesley!

Here I am with LeeAnn Greff.

Here I am with Angie Juda and Patty Bennett.

Here I am with Lydia Fiedler.

Here I am with Jan Tinklenberg.

I also had great chats (but no pictures taken) with:
Jill Hilliard
Diana Gibbs
Corrine Somerville
Heather Summers

I saw so many other talented Demonstrators there - it was amazing!

Of course, the women I travelled and hung out with are also amazing!  Here are some more fun pictures I have with them:
