Convention Inspiration

Hi everyone,

I saw so many fabulous card/project ideas at Convention.  I thought I'd share some with you.

Some I'm keeping to MYSELF because I'll be re-working them into future Stamp Class projects!  Stay tuned!!!

Here are a few pictures for today.  These were taken during my tour of the Riverton Home Office.  Some were on display in the Legacy Room and some were actually in the Demonstrator Support area.

I like the way they made Minnie Mouse on this card!  What a fun, vibrant card!

I actually snapped a picture of this card THROUGH another Demonstrator's "swap" bag!  hee hee!  It's a great card!  It's clean, simple and very attractive.

The black bars on the next few cards are there because these cards were on display in a spinning rack.  I liked the sweet simplicity of this card.  Easy to make and nice to look at!

I know this card is small but I hope you can see what I liked about it!  It's a completely white card except for the cute little moustache and tie.  There is a mini silver brad in the tie.  A very unique Father's Day card!

I just really liked the way the hearts were "double" punched and then layered together.  :)

This was part of the Display in the Legacy Room.  The card is great - it uses the Betsy's Blossoms large flower and then they put a REAL twig on the card and a paper leaf.  So cute!!!

Ok, really.  How awesome is this?  Why not take some old stamp sets you're not using anymore and put them in a vase?  What a fun piece of art for your crafting space!!!

Shabby Chic is a very popular technique right now.  (Sometimes called "Nouveau Vintage" also.)  It's a fairly forgiving technique.  As you can see, the script background is not stamped hard or even solidly on the card base -just bits of it here and there.  There is some colouring, but very casually done.  Pearls, Spritzing and a bit of ribbon and it's done.  Pretty!  I might have to try it in real life to see what it's like to make.  It's not a style I go to often, but maybe I need to branch out!

Just a fun colourful card!  I can see doing a style like this for many occasions.  You could spell "happy" with the letters and then stamp "birthday" underneath or even spell "thank" and then write "you".  It's clean and simple and fun!
Hope you enjoyed the ideas I shared with you today.  I'll have more tomorrow!
