Here are ten of my favourite retiring stamp sets (and, in my opinion, there really isn't anything like them in the upcoming catalogue (in effect June 1) ):
* Artistic Etchings - page 124
Well, I was just getting into the Vintage look and this was a set I liked to use. I love the key, I love the decorative circle shape, I like the Eiffel Tower. I am holding on to this one!
* Aviary - page 101
You know, it's not a set I used that often, but it's really fun. I like the birdcages. In fact, I made a wickedly cool Hallowe'en card last year with the birdcages and black CROWS in them. Neat. I will hold on to this and hopefully use it more.
* Button Buddies - page 40
Love buttons? You MUST have this set! I love the pig, the flowers in a vase, the baby rattle...well, all the images actually! LOVE it!
* Circle Circus - page 99
I will be holding on to this set because I love the gender neutral nature of these fun circles. I think they are just great decorative elements. Quick and easy to use!
* Curly Cute - page 138
ACK! I LOVE this greeting set! I have used it so much this year. I am holding on to this one and I recommend you consider it before it's gone!
* Day of Gratitude - page 27
As I said in yesterday's post, I love autumn, and I really do love this set. I love the greetings and I especially love that large, decorative medallion/flower image. It is wonderful.
* Dinoroar - page 64
PERFECT for kid's cards! I love the card sets I have seen where you just stamp the dinosaur in black ink and then include a little pack of crayons so they can colour their own images. What a fun idea for a birthday party goodie bag! :)
* Elements of Style - page 113
Really...you need those roses. You really do. They are just delightful. Easy to colour and they are so pretty! The other images are great too - but those roses I LOVE!!
* Greeting Card Kids - page 14
Again, a vintage-y style set that is just so sweet. I think the teacher in me fell in love with the little school girl and boy first of all. I've also had fun with the sweet little winter girl. I'm not a great watercolourer, but I have enjoyed this set and will be holding on to it.
* Made For You - page 44
Such a small and simple greeting set, but I have used it a lot! If you like having a variety of greetings on hand, this one is great and it won't "break the bank".
(oops - I was only going to mention ten, but I can't help myself...just a few more....)
* Nature Walk - page 79
Oh, I love those eggs, that bird, the bee, the butterfly - I love this set. Can't say enough about them. I made a sweet card set with it a couple of years ago and it's still one of my favourite projects.
* No Peeking - page 23
Oh, I know that Stampin' Up! will WOW me with great new holiday sets when the Holiday Catalogue comes out, but I am NOT DONE with this cute set. I love the penguin and the snowman. So cute. I really like it for it's fun nature, but it's also just super easy to use. Lots of great bold lines when you stamp so that it's easy to add colour.
* Perfectly Preserved - carryover from the Holiday Catalogue
As I mentioned yesterday, I am just not quite done with some of these carryover items. I will be holding onto this set and the coordinating die set that is also retiring (Cannery dies). I love the jar and I love the apples. It's all good, but those are my favourites.
Well, everyone has different tastes and different styles, and these are far from all of my favourites that are retiring, but it gives you an idea of what I love and am not parting with. I think I had about 50+ sets on this retiring list so I have to part with quite a few. I stamp for enjoyment, however, so many of these sets just have to stay with me!
Remember, I'm placing an order on Wednesday at NOON if you want anything. My next order date will be the end of May. After that, the retiring stamp sets and accessories will be GONE and we'll be celebrating the introduction of the new Catalogue!
Have a perfect day!
Andra
