My Digital Studio information

Good morning!

I'm enjoying this new blog.  It's quick and easy to post so I'm going to try to post every day or every other day.

Today's post is about My Digital Studio (MDS).  It's a fabulous digital scrapbooking (you can also make other projects and cards with it) program that Stampin' Up! has available.

It's a really excellent tool and well worth the money.  They offer exclusive MDS hostess items and have fabulous "bundles" in the new Catalogue and upcoming Mini Catalogue for MDS.

MDS offers all of Stampin' Up!'s exclusive colours in cardstock, ink, designer papers, ribbons and embellishments.  The original MDS disc comes with a vast amount of "stamp sets" and other tools, but you can also just download the items you want as they are released.

It's a tool that I have NOT made good use of, but one of my goals is to get using it - especially for scrapbooking.  I just don't seem to be a PAPER scrapbooker.  I'm not sure why - I certainly have all the tools and resources I need, but there's something daunting about it for me.  Since I love computers, I think using MDS to organize and showcase my photos should be easy.  I just need to start.  :)

You can print your MDS projects (albums, calendars, cards, etc) through Stampin' Up! AND they count as sales in the sense that if you want a bunch of stuff printed, you can be your OWN hostess and receive the free hostess rewards!  Great if you're planning ahead with Christmas gifts for family and friends!

For those of you considering buying MDS, I'd recommend it.  They are soon releasing MDS 2, and it will be an upgrade for those of us who already own MDS.

For now, check out this site.  It's made by Stampin' Up! and devoted to MDS ideas, information and inspiration.

You can also look at the full catalogue of MDS downloads (go to RESOURCES and then to MDS Catalogue).  There are fabulous items available - from accessories, punches, stamp sets, Designer Papers and even wonderful Photo Books (that's totally the way I'm starting!!!)

Heather Summers (one of the top Demonstrators in Canada) uses MDS brilliantly.  Check out her blog here for ideas and inspiration!

Check out MDS!  You might just fall in love with it!

Have a lovely day,
Andra

Glad you put this post up Andra, hope that you figure it all out as I bought the program and cannot for the life of me get it to do anything I want. Once you become a pro, maybe you can give me some tips! Hard to believe that I work on a computer all day long and have so much trouble with this program.

Hmmm - that's not good! I have taken short courses on it and it seems quite easy. You know, you could try contacting Heather Summers and asking her information. I know she runs an MDS club and shares a lot of tips through that. Her website might also give you some insight. Maybe you'll find tips on the MDS site also.

I'll share whatever I know once I get going on it!
